Our Work
Building Resilient Communities is proud to be a part of a network of organizations ensuring that communities are ready in the event of a crisis. We currently provide disaster preparedness tools, resources, and updates on emergency situations to hundreds of faith, community, and business leaders. When fires start, floods occur, the earth shakes, pandemics strike, or communities experience violence, we provide thousands of people with the information they need to stay safe.
In addition to training, we provide communities with the supplies they need to weather tough times. Building Resilient Communities has delivered thousands of face masks, face shields, hand sanitizers, and gloves to communities in need of personal protection equipment as they face COVID-19. We also partner with community organizations annually to provide students with emergency flashlights, backpacks, and school supplies. While disaster preparedness is our priority, we strive to meet the needs of the communities we serve in whatever ways we can.
Our Vision
Building Resilient Communities envisions a world where communities are filled with hope, overcome adverse conditions, are prepared for disasters, and recover from disruptive experiences.
Our Mission
Building Resilient Communities provides disaster preparedness training and resources to remove barriers that unfairly affect people in times of disaster.

Greetings Pastors,We are so excited to share the new tool kit to help Pastors discuss Covid-19. This toolkit was created as a resource for churches in the Black Community. We created the kit as a repository for Covid-19 information and advisory updates about Covid-19.The agencies that created this toolkit believe and stand on the premise that we Walk by Faith and Not by Sight. The toolkit is a compilation of statistics and personal testimonies that will hopefully be able to springboard your messages as we continually navigate the pandemic. We are very thankful for the partnership we have with the @Riverside University Riverside Health System - Public Health Equity team, the African American Vaccine Equity Collaborative, and our local Pastors. The Riverside Branch of the NAACP continues to prioritize promoting vaccinations, testing, and COVID safety precautions.Thank you for continuing to partner with us as we WALK BY FAITH TOGETHER.Dr. Regina Patton StellNAACP Riverside Branch ...
