Building Resilient Communities’ reason for existence is to fulfill our foundational scriptures which are Isaiah 58:12 along with Isaiah 61:1 and 3. Our way of addressing our foundational scriptures is to identify systemic problems that cause communities to be disadvantaged and vulnerable in times of disaster. We strive to mitigate systemic disparities in environment, racial bias and economic conditions. We work with partners with shared interests to mitigate these systemic problems.
We envision a world where communities are filled with hope, overcome adverse conditions, are prepared for disasters, and recover from disruptive experiences.
Our mission is to advocate for and provide resources, tools, and education to disadvantaged and vulnerable communities to prepare for and overcome disasters. We equip families and youth, community and faith-based organizations, small businesses and government.
